Getting sharp, visually appealing photos of reef animals while shooting through glass and water is not always easy. Topic Presentation: Azooxanthellate Corals Through a Rookie’s Eyes
Speaker room - Saturday, September 10 4:30 PM
Keeping azooxanthellate corals presents the ultimate challenge: Can you dump food into your tank around the clock and maintain pristine water? These corals are also demanding of time and effort and are not for beginners. But success is very rewarding. My first year of keeping an azooxanthellate-coral reef met with much more success than failure, but the learning curve was steep. The presentation will help those interested in this aspect of the hobby decide what corals to keep, how to feed, and what’s required to maintain water quality with all of that food passing through the system.
